GPSS-MAP Experts Arrived SDU for Review Visit

On March 26th-28th,2007, GPSSMAP experts, Professor Pranab Das and Professor Tom Mackenzie, visited Shandong University (SDU). It is the first review for the GPSSMAPSTAR program.

In the review, the experts from USA and France exchanged their academic opinions with Professor Jiang Sheng and other GPSSMAPSTAR program participants from four universities.

During this visit, experts of GPSS also talked with Professor Zhan Tao, president of SDU, and Prof. Wang Yuji, director of History and Culture School. They also visited other administrative departments to do investigation on the supporting facilities from SDU administrations.

General Conversation

In the afternoon of March 26th, Professor Pranab Das communicated with team members of GPSSMAPSTAR one by one on the GPSS-MAP-STAR program.

Reporting meeting

On March 27, the Review was put on at Wu Long Tan Park, Ji’nan. Professor Pranab Das presided the reporting meeting in the whole day. Team members from four universities reported their academic activity plans; Professor Das exchanged his opinion with them under the open and friendly atmosphere. Towards the end of the reporting, Professor Das delivered his pertinent and constructive proposal to all team members.

Professor Tom Mackenzie also attended this reporting activity.
